Black and White

I can’t wait. Next month–just in time for the holidays–we will be unveiling the hippest, trendiest and most musically-inclined online shop ever! My friends and I are very excited to bring this all together for all of you. We will soon be available for every person residing in the Philippines (for now, atleast hihihi) through Facebook, Tumblr and Twitter. We won’t be revealing what we’re going to sell but I can assure you, you’ll be dragging along Taylor Swift, Katy Perry or even The Script (and so so much more!!) everywhere you go. 🙂 You have to check out this blog every now and then for details and where to find us! Ok? I know I said this before but, I can’t wait. Barcode MNL will be all over your timeline, dash and home page soon!

If you want to do collaborations, advertisement and/or styling (yes, as early as now! You’ll never know.), you can contact us through below:

I’ve noticed that there have been a lot of tweeting photos from the past and calling it as ‘throwback’. It inspired me to visit my multiply site and throwback (well, annoy people with ugly and awkward photos).

I’ll be posting my fave photos! Lol suck it, friends.

There are people here that I haven’t been in touch for a long time. I may or may not be holding my cell right now and dialing their numbers.

I don’t even know why I named this blog post that. I’m out of it. Anyway, yesterday, I visited San Beda – Alabang (my former school) to accompany my bestfriend because she had to pick up her grades and check if she had things to do for her clearance.

We hang out at one of the gazebos–the place took me back to my freshman year (which was only months ago, but feels like eternity has passed. Wooo!) where we killed hours and hours of vacant periods there playing cards, Monopoly Deal, tweeting (each other), doing last minute school works and just fooling around. It made me miss a lot of people.

So after a few minutes of reminiscing, we went to have milk tea (been craving for it in weeks!!!!) at this place along President Avenue inside BF Homes.

Yeahp, it’s Bon Appetea! 🙂 Oh now I remember why I named this blog ‘Frenchies’ because the milk tea place’s name was derived from a French word. Right. Okay. Hahahaha! Wow, my memory is falling too fast these days. I need some vitamins. Lol Anyhoo, as usual, it was always hard to pick which milk tea to try. They have a lot to offer.

I went with my guts and got the Melange one which was a mixture of Assam black tea, Toffee and Hazelnut. It was delish! Kind of sweet though–just the way I like it! Mmmmmm hihihi

It was a lazy day that afternoon (and very rainy, I might add!:-() so, I just wore a very simple outfit. A pair of skinny jeans, my favorite pink flats from Mario D Boro and a vintage plaid button-down polo which I stole from my granddad’s closet. Yes, granddad. It was very masculine but I love it cos it made me feel like he was with me rather than miles away in California. Speaking of him, he celebrated his 81st birthday the day before yesterday. Spent it with my family and ate the feast that awaited in front of me! You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to figure why I gained so so so much weight! Huhuhu

All the photos in this post (except the one below) are from my new 14-megapixel HP camera. I love how the colors in the pictures are soft and relaxing.

What I love most about this camera is that it’s 1) very handy! Very very light. You could take it anywhere if you’re getting tired of lugging around your dSLR. 2) It has a lot of scenes. It even has a lomo function (my favorite!!!) which was used in this one:

Right, so cool right? 🙂 Love love love the color and the effect! Back to the task at hand, I like the ambiance in this branch of Bon Appetea but too bad they didn’t have wi-fi so my Blackberry and I were kind of sad that time 😦 but my tummy is. very. Hahaha Joanne told me that the branch near the PCJ church (still inside BF Homes) is better, so you might want to check that out too!

Bon Appetea has a lot of branches nation wide! Check out their website: here to know where the nearest  milk tea to you. Also, follow them on Twitter here or like their Facebook page here.

Bohemian Rhapsody

HAHAHA I just had to use that title.

Yesterday was Adi’s birthday! She’s my former service-mate from high school such a dear friend and I’ve known her for six years now. We haven’t seen each other in the longest and I can’t help but fawn over her bohemian beauty last night at the Fiamma Bar in Makati.

I forgot to tuck my tummy! Huhuhu I look fat in the photos!!!! Oh well loved my outfit ❤ ❤

Loved the whole night! Got to see friends I haven’t seen in the longest. Drank a lot so it kind of gave me a buzz 😐 Unlimited beer!!!! Hahahah So happy I didn’t get rashes after cos I usually do.

Thanks Adi for such a blast and Ate Bea Balcom for the ride home! 🙂

College Freshman Must-Carry-At-All-Times

I’ve been a Freshman before and surfing around the internet for some tips on what to do during my college years has been pretty useful until now. That is why, it’s my turn to pass it on to the incoming freshmen! 🙂

These are what you should carry in your bag at all cost (especially during the first day). This is in no particular order.

1. Certificate of Registration or COR. This is where you can find your schedule, the room, your student number and the breakdown of your tuition fee. This is important because this is proof that you are enrolled in a certain class.

2. Filler binder. Nope, freshman. You don’t need tons of notebooks for different subjects! You only need tiny and thin filler and bind it with a… binder. -.- Pros: It’s easy to carry around. Cons: It’s also easy to fill it all with notes so, write small!

3. Planner. It’s easy to get mixed up in college. Deadlines on different subjects are on the same day and what better way to organize that to use a planner? 🙂

4. Your trusty pen. This is not really my trusty pen but it’s all I’ve got right now! Anyway, you need this. It’s useful for notes (especially now that the prof won’t wait for you to finish writing before erasing the writings) and writing your name for the attendance!

5. ID. How would you get to your class if you can’t get past the guards first?

6. ID Pictures. This helps your professors recognize you especially if you’re a class standing whore. Professors have different specifications when it comes to this so to make sure, avail of the package that consists of 2x2s and 1x1s 🙂

7. Coins. No hassle for you in the morning when the jeepney driver doesn’t have a change to your 1000 peso bill, no hassle to the driver and everyone else!

8. Camera. No better way to capture those special and memorable moments than to whip out your point and shoot camera! PS, do not bring your dSLR, super hassle! Not to mention, show off! PS sorry my camera looks so battered! Hahaha

9. Fan or pamaypay. It’s hot in the Philippines, you have to admit, despite the rain. So if you don’t have a hankerchief with you, better have a fan inside your bag.

Almost forgot!

10. Index cards. It’s where you write your information for the professors to know. It’s also helpful for them but hell for you because when they decide to give out surprise oral recitations, it will be randomly picked out c/o of these little bad boys.

You can bring your gel, perfume, make-up kits etc but keep your bag light. It’s going to be such a hassle dragging around a suitcase when you’re commuting.

These are from my own experience. More to add? Tumblr ask me, tweet me @theyeaaah or email me at 🙂
